A 62 y/o male with a history of chronic low back pain who has osteoarthritis (OA) and spinal stenosis presents with persistent pain in his right forearm one month following an outbreak of herpes zoster. There is faint scarring from well-healed lesions along the length of the affected arm. The pain is described as prickly. The patient describes intolerance to long-sleeved clothes and showering. The pain is constant, but varies in intensity from 6 to 10/10.
