The Whole Health online materials include Educational Overviews and Clinical Tools organized into modules that correspond to the “Circle of Health.”

  • Introductory Modules (the central circles)
Fundamentals of Whole Health, including Mindful Awareness
    Currently being updated
  • Self-Care Modules (the green circles)
Eight components of proactive self-care, and clinician self-care
  • Professional Care Modules (the dark blue ring)
Explore ways clinicians and others can enhance Whole Health for various conditions

Educational Overviews are built around patient vignettes with evidence-based information.
Clinical Tools provide practical information you can use at the point of care.

We encourage you to begin with the four Introductory Modules, which are also available as online courses through the VA Talent Management System (TMS):

  1. Whole Health: An Introduction provides an overview of the entire curriculum.
  2. Gathering Information: The Personal Health Inventory and Beyond invites you to explore how to change the conversation and ways to use the Personal Health Inventory in your practice.
  3. Taking Action: How to Write a Personal Health Plan supports creating an effective plan using the Whole Health approach.
  4. Mindful Awareness brings you to the center of the circle, where Whole Health begins for you and for your patients.
