Located at 470 N. Charter St. Opened in 1928 with the
State Laboratory of Hygiene and several pre-clinical departments.

Service Memorial Institutes
Linden Drive View

View from across Linden St. It was built with surplus funds from the
Service Recognition Board as a war memorial. Cost of the building was $707,000.

McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research
Located at 420 N. Charter. It was completed in 1940 for cancer research.
The building was funded by a gift from Michael McArdle
and a grant from the Public Works Administration.
Cost of the building was $239,993.

McArdle Cancer Research Building
Located at 1400 University Ave. It's former official address was 450 N. Randall St. It was completed in 1964.

The Medical Sciences Building was added to SMI in the 1950's. View from the corner of Charter and Linden Streets.

Bardeen Medical Laboratories
Dedicated in 1957. Located on Linden Street, it adjoins the Medical Sciences Building and
the Services Memorial Institute. It is named after the first dean of the medical school.
